I went to Gosaikunda. Link to heading
We had been planning to go there for about a month, and we finally did it.
We started our journey on 14th April (Baisakh 1). The group consisted of Samir, Amrit, I.
We took a bus from Buspark to Dhunche, Rasuwa. It took about 6 hours. We started our trek from Dhunche at 1 pm.
On the first day, we walked 5 hours. We went to Chandanbari through Deurali and Dhimshe. We stayed there in a hotel. It was pretty good.
The next day, we started at 7 am from Chandanbari, and reached Gosaikunda in 6 hours. We stayed there for about an hour, plunged into the Gosaikunda lake, and came back down to Chandanbari. This time, it took us 4 hours.
The next morning we started at 7.30 am, and came all the way down to Dhunche to catch a bus to Kathmandu. We also swam on a small stream on our way down.
We got on the bus at 12 pm, and we were back in Kathmandu by 7 pm.
It was an amazing experience. The cost was really cheap, about Rs.5k, the time was also really short, and the trek was also pretty easy. The view was breathtaking, and it was almost surreal seeing the mountains from up close.
